Daniel Simmons, who recently completed his junior year at American Fork High in Utah, reflects on being selected as the Gatorade National Boys Cross Country Player of the Year at the Gatorade Player of the Year Awards Ceremony on July 11 in Los Angeles. Simmons, a Brigham Young commit, was one of six finalists for the Gatorade Best Male Player award, recognition that went to baseball standout Max Clark of Franklin Community High in Indiana.
